New Cancer Prevention Studies

A study published in the June 2007 American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggested that vitamin D and calcium supplements may help reduce the risk of all types of cancer, not just breast cancer.

A second study, published in the June 2007 American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggested that vitamin D and calcium supplements may help reduce the risk of all types of cancer by up to 77 percent in those women who supplement on a daily basis.

Ellen, How much Vitamin D do you take every day?

Hopefully, these two Vitamin D / Calcium studies will encourage The National Cancer Institute to stop putting ALL of their federally funded money into Cancer treatments studies.

It's time for NCI to make research grant money available to the under-funded nutrition science community who has been waiting for years to focus on Cancer prevention, particularly as it relates to nutritional deficiencies.

FYI: The diagnosed Cancer patient needs to look for a physician or clinic that is involved in the exciting revolution in oncology, which includes using the very best of conventional and alternative medicine.

God Bless,

Based on a number of exciting new Vitamin D studies, we just increased the amount of Vitamin D in Macula Complete from 600 IUs to 1,200 IUs per daily dose. We increased the Vitamin D in Oculair from 600 IUs to 800 IUs.

The current RDA for Vitamin D is still 400 IUs per day, although the Academy of Medicine assures me that that number will be dramatically increased in the next year based on all the new science.

I take the recommended daily dosage of our full-spectrum multiple, Macula Complete (six capsules). Plus I try to spend at least five or ten minutes in the sun every day, sans sunscreen.

Hey Ellen,

Now that we know how much Vitamin D you take every day, what are you doing about your Calcium intake?

I take about 1200 mg of Calcium every day in liquid form. It's balanced with all the other nutrients required to drive Calcium into the bone. I purchase it from www.phoenixnutritionals.com
